Expressions of Interest: ANZSRS Representative on the COPD-X Steering Committee

The ANZSRS Board is seeking expressions of interest from members who wish to represent the Society on the COPD-X Steering Committee.

For the first time since their original publication in 2003, Lung Foundation Australia is undertaking a major redevelopment of the COPD-X Guidelines, Australia’s key evidence-based guidelines for the diagnosis and management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

As the first stage of this work, Lung Foundation Australia is establishing a national Steering Committee comprising representatives from peak health professional bodies and consumer organisations across Australia. The Steering Committee will provide organisational endorsement of the redevelopment process and offer advice on the implementation and dissemination of future COPD-X recommendations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ANZSRS member to contribute respiratory science expertise to an important national initiative that will help shape the future of COPD care in Australia.
